About Us

Fire Escape was started three years ago in January 2005 as Northgate Church's youth band.

We began by playing popular Christian bands and some worship music, but have been composing our own music during the past four years. The band has developed from strengh to strength from our humble beginnings, but our aim has always been to worship God and our fantastic team of young people have devoted countless hours to the cause.
Katherine, Ben and Zoë have been with the band since its creation.
Since September 2007 we had planned to record a CD. We have a selection of songs that we practise regularly that have been composed by members of the band; three songs written and composed by Abbey, one song written by Zoë and Abbey, another by (honourary member) James and finally one created by the whole group.
We are very excited about sharing our music and the good news about Jesus with the world! ‘Push Bar to Open’ was released on 27th April 2008 and we are currently performing live all over the North West of England.
